A new builders
training partner
is now on-site.
Builders Academy is a new on-site apprenticeship partner for the construction industry. They help employers build dependable, resilient carpentry apprentices - to tackle the skills shortages and ageing workforce that the building industry faces. Builders Academy was up against a large, established competitor, so the new brand needed to stand out, while still feeling connected to the world of construction.
Form and Function partnered with Coles & co to create the new brand. The ideas integrated into the brand system were: quality, boldness, craftsmanship and strength. Central to the brand design was a unique and versatile ‘BA’ monogram, along with a simple colour palette of black, white and high-vis orange. The brand elements were designed to be used effectively across a range of brand touchpoints.
We helped Builders Academy apply this simple and versatile brand system to a number of outputs including business cards, brochures, vehicle livery, uniforms, website & social media. Since launching the brand, the team have had a very positive response from clients and people in the construction industry. Within a year of launching - Builders Academy train 800+ carpentry apprentices a year, have hired over 50 Workplace Apprenticeship Educators and have expanded to the South Island.
